INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Infertility grief: it's terrible, right?! Feeling alone, being surrounded by others that are able to have children, no one understanding the pain. We know how distressing it can be, and we want to help. We provide individual psychotherapy to help you learn to cope with infertility grief. Whether you have infertility or recurrent pregnancy loss, we want to help you understand your emotions and learn skills to manage them. We hope that by meeting one-on-one with us, you can not only survive infertility, but THRIVE.
Individual therapy starts with an assessment. After we receive your appointment request form, we will call or email you to schedule your initial assessment appointment. This typically lasts 1 hour, and we will use this time to learn more about you, your reason for seeking therapy, and your goals. After this, we will meet weekly until you feel that your goals have been achieved. These sessions are typically 45-50 minutes.
COUPLES THERAPY
There's no denying that infertility affects a romantic relationship. It might affect how you communicate with each other or maybe it is driving you apart. By meeting with us together, you can both learn the skills to understand and manage your emotions. We want to help you learn to cope with infertility grief together.
Couples therapy starts with an assessment. After we receive your appointment request form, we will call or email you to schedule your initial assessment appointment. This typically lasts 1 hour, and we will use this time to learn more about you and your partner, your reason for seeking therapy, and your goals. After this, we will meet weekly with you and your partner until you feel that your goals have been achieved. These sessions are typically 50 minutes.
GROUP THERAPY
Infertility can be a lonely problem to face. Group therapy is very beneficial for those experiencing infertility grief because it provides a community. In a group, our goal is to help you understand and cope with distressing emotions. Because this is done while surrounded by others who are also grieving, you will be able to give and receive support, feel less isolated, and learn to better relate with others. These groups are run by a licensed professional that will teach skills and facilitate group sharing.
Group therapy starts with an assessment. After we receive your appointment request form, we will email you an assessment form. After completing this, you will be matched with a group that would best serve your needs. Groups will meet weekly for six sessions. Groups are closed, meaning that once the group begins, new members will not join. Groups typically consist of 8-10 individuals. Each session is 50 minutes. Couples may participate in a group together.
